Summer Barn Dance

Sandy Lafleur will call the dance. Learn more about her here!
Stone Soup has been playing contra dances together since 2004 and like their name implies, they have always welcomed new members into the mix knowing that the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts.  They enjoy playing a mix of styles, but lean heavily on traditional Irish, New England dance , and Quebecois traditions.
Founding musicians Jim DiCarlo(flute, whistles and concertina), Silas Robinson(fiddle), and Brad Robinson(guitar) are still playing with the band as are  long time members David Moore(accordion), Cindy Harnett(fiddle) and John Blackwell(bodhran).   And you never know who else will show up and be part of the soup on any given evening.  As Brad Robinson likes to say, this is really just about building community!

Register to attend!
The first cohort of the Collective Liberation Project will conclude their time together with a storytelling event. CLP is a group that centers relationship-building through shared learning and community discussions on oppression, privilege and power in our community.

Participants in CLP will summarize the racial justice journey they underwent while participating in the six month course using various storytelling mediums.

The event will take place on June 19 in the Saltonstall Farm barn. More information to come concerning the event start time. Entry is free.

Inaugural Summit Event

We are looking forward to hosting our first annual Summit event. This event will host several nonprofits from the Maine and New Hampshire seacoast area. These nonprofit groups are also focused on racial and climate justice. We will be inviting local organizations who specify that their mission is to support racial and/or climate justice in their mission statement, and we hope to continue to grow our list of partners in coming years!
Want to be included in communication about future Summit events? Go to the Contact Us page and let us know!
